THE ALPHA SYSTEM (Description from Harrison)

The Alpha system is like no other turning system on earth. It has been developed by Harrison for companies wishing to produce one-offs and small batches of turned parts swiftly and efficiently. The Alpha system is simple to use and easy to learn.

The Alpha system is a perfect blend of a high-quality machine tool, production engineering know-how, advanced electronics, and a deep understanding of customer’s needs for turning one-offs and small batches.

Manual Operation

In manual operation, the Alpha machine may be used in exactly the same way as a conventional manual center lathe fitted with a DRO. Any turner can operate this machine instantly.

________________________________________________

Semi-Automatic Sequential Operation

Programmed sequential operations in simple question/answer page format at the machine mounted console for parallel turning, chamfer, radius, taper and multi start threads. Constant surface speed is a standard feature. Ideally suited for one-off and small batch production.
